The post holder is responsible for delivering outcomes linked to Save the Children Philippines (SCP) Organizational Strategy 2025-2030 particularly Goal 1 where SCP drives significant improvements in the health learning protection and participation of the most excluded and vulnerable children and where relevant Goals 2 (resource generation) and 3 (SCP performance drivers). The primary program delivery mechanism will be Education Portfolio projects.
Additionally the post holder will support SCPs education portfolio by delivering high-quality evidence-based programming and advocacy. This includes leading community mobilization in the target areas facilitating childrens meaningful participation in activities and managing partnerships with community stakeholders and LGU partners to promote and protect childrens rights.
Furthermore the post holder is responsible for contributing to establishing diverse partnerships with a broad range of groups and organizations ensuring the effective and timely implementation of planned activities and interventions of partners (i.e. strategic implementing advocacy) and those jointly initiated with SCP as guided by SCPs principles and strategies on Partnership Management. The post holder will likewise provide guidance to project activities to ensure meaningful participation of children based on the nine (9) basic requirements for meaningful and ethical childrens participation as promoted by Article 12 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Requirements
Essential skills knowledge or experience
Minimum of two years of work experience in program delivery management administration or other related fields; work experience in the development setting (NGO) is an advantage
Above average writing skills with the ability to produce high-quality reports and briefing papers
Highly organized with good attention to detail and developed ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines and organize work
Skilled in facilitating meetings/ workshops/training and other group processes with children and adults
Proven experience of using MS office application (Word Excel Access and PowerPoint) and desk-top publishing software
Desirable skills knowledge or experience
Technical knowledge and working experience on education programs particularly early childhood and inclusive education
Familiarity with childrens rights and childrens issues
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Good interpersonal and communications skills
Required education and qualifications (certifications licenses accreditations etc.)
