Resolve customer incidents problems and change requests to required service level targets
Apply technical knowledge to effectively analyse and resolve problems

As part of your position in addition to (c) above you:
may be required to perform your duties off-site including at customer vendor/partner and supplier sites which require as a condition of entry you to hold a National Police Certificate;
may be responsible for accessing internal and third party computer systems containing highly sensitive confidential corporate and personal information;
may be engaged in capacities that require Data#3 to have the highest degree of confidence that you will perform your duties with a high level of honesty and integrity. Accordingly the satisfactory completion of a National Police Certificate is an inherent requirement of your position.
Minimum 6 - 8 years experience in an IT environment
Proven experience in a senior network support role
Demonstrated experience in dealing with customers at all organisational levels
Effective oral and written communication skills to ensure clear and accurate communication with all stakeholders
Effective negotiation and problem resolution skills to achieve win/win situation
Demonstrated skills in developing high-level relationships with clients vendors and industry leaders.
Ability to apply technology to contribute to the overall goals of the organisation
Integrity in dealing with personnel customer and supplier issues
Demonstrated work history of ethical business practice
Self-motivated and outcome orientated
Relevant Industry Experience and / or Certifications in Cisco Routing and Switching VLAN/VPN
Cisco Wireless & NAC
Network Management Tools
ITIL Service Management Tools
FortiGate/FortiNet Experience.
Cisco ISE Experience.
Radio Frequency / Microwave Frequency wireless Experience (Point to Point) - Specifically Cambium and/or Ranjant Mesh are a bonus.
Mining company experience also a bonus.
Required Skills:
Network/Linux Engineer Description: Participate in architectural discussions related to achieving successful deployments Network administration of both hardware infrastructure and Linux based routers as well as multiple vendor firewalls Systems administration of Linux servers Scripting as required Perform partner technical support starting with Tier 3-4 escalations from Level 2 support desk Coordinate escalations with vendors Be part of the on-call support rotation Perform additional duties within the skill set for this position We will potentially be looking for multiple like resources to cover different shifts. Each position will largely have consistent working hours but will involve participating in duties as a senior engineer for on-call escalations. This position is primarily remote with occasional office visits for meetings. Qualifications/Experience/Skills: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Linux system and/or network engineer Ability and desire to quickly learn new topics and frameworks Extensive knowledge of Linux is a must including but not limited to: Package installation and maintenance configuring of networking and integration into existing networks core services Extensive knowledge of IP networking principles protocols and network design is required Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash or Python is preferred Experience with configuration management systems such as SaltStack is preferred Excellent working knowledge in deploying and maintaining server hardware Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized and process driven Professional services work a bonus Linux and network certifications a bonus
