DescriptionThe Quality Inspector 2nd Shift is responsible for ensuring products meet established quality standards through hands-on inspection testing and accurate documentation throughout the manufacturing process. This role supports production by verifying raw materials monitoring in-process operations and performing first article inspections using calibrated measuring and testing equipment. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment the Quality Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining product integrity safety and customer satisfaction by following defined quality procedures upholding housekeeping and safety standards and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Ensure that measuring and testing equipment is set/calibrated correctly.
- Check and test raw materials and parts from outside suppliers.
- Monitor the production process at different stages.
- Measure and report first article samples.
- Test products by observing or measuring dimensions weight physical or chemical characteristics against specified requirements.
- Keep accurate records of checks/inspections.
- Maintain quality service by following organizational standards and departmental processes and procedures.
- All supplemental duties responsibilities or non-essential requirements as assigned.
- Observe established safe working housekeeping procedures and promptly correct and/or notify supervisor
For This Role You Will Need:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 13 years of related experience required; 35 years preferred.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to contribute positively to a collaborative work environment.
Physical Demand:
- While performing duties may be required to sit stand walk stoop bend twist or lift.
- May be required to work more than 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week based on departmental needs.
- Office and manufacturing environment.
- May be exposed to manufacturing plant conditions and elements including but not limited to noise dust dirt oil and grease.
- PPEs may be required including safety glasses ear plugs and safety shoes in specified areas of the plant.
