Position Summary
The Physical Therapist provides evaluation treatment and rehabilitation services to patients in an acute care and/or rehabilitation hospital setting. The PT is responsible for implementing individualized care plans assisting with patient mobility and transfers and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient functional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Assess patient physical abilities limitations and rehabilitation needs
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient diagnosis and goals
Perform therapeutic interventions including mobility training strengthening balance and range-of-motion exercises
Assist patients with safe lifting transfers and functional mobility
Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly
Document evaluations treatments and outcomes accurately in the medical record
Collaborate with physicians nurses and other therapists to optimize patient care
Maintain patient safety infection control and compliance with hospital protocols
Provide patient and family education regarding rehabilitation techniques
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of acute care or hospital-based physical therapy experience
Strong skills in patient lifting transfers and mobility assistance
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care or rehabilitation environment
First-time travelers accepted
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a rehabilitation hospital or specialty rehab unit
Experience with interdisciplinary acute care teams
