What You Can Expect

• Develop Design Flow Software: Create and enhance software tools for IP design automation workflows
• Script Development & Maintenance: Write robust maintainable scripts using Perl Python and Makefiles to streamline design processes
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers methodology teams and verification groups to deliver integrated solutions
• Linux Environment Development: Leverage Linux-based tools and environments to build efficient automation systems
• AI-Powered Automation: Explore and implement advanced technologies including AI Agents and Skills to automate complex multi-platform workflows
• Documentation & Testing: Document your work clearly and ensure code quality through testing and peer reviews

What Were Looking For

• Currently pursuing aMasters degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or a related technical field
• Proficiency in scripting languages: Strong experience with Python and/or Perl
• Build system knowledge: Hands-on experience with Makefiles and build automation
• Frontend development skills: Familiarity with JavaScript and modern web technologies
• Problem-solving mindset: Demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges with creative solutions
• Team collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative cross-functional team environments
• Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Linux/Unix command-line tools and shell scripting
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git SVN)
• Knowledge of EDA tools or semiconductor design flows
• Interest in AI/ML applications for design automation
• Previous internship or project experience in software development

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

The successful candidates starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
