Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Global Mobility Director to join our team inAmersfoort Netherlands.

As Global Mobility Director you will lead the design and delivery of Arcadis global mobility strategy ensuring policies and programs align with business priorities and industry trends. Youll act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders driving transformation and operational excellence across international assignments transfers and compliance. Building strong partnerships with internal teams and external vendors youll oversee seamless employee movement while managing risk and cost-effectiveness. As an inspiring leader of a team of 5 FTE youll develop a high-performing team foster collaboration and champion continuous improvement to enhance the global mobility experience.

A member of the Global PRO (Performance Rewards and Org Design) Team the Global Mobility Director will foster trusted and influential relationships within the team with the Global Business Areas (GBAs) People Services Talent Acquisition Tax Finance and other functions. This with the aim to develop implement and deliver effective and compliant global mobility programs.

Role accountabilities:

Policy & Program Leadership

  • Act as custodian and architect of Arcadis Global Mobility policies and programs.
  • Ensure alignment with industry trends and Arcadis strategic people and culture direction.
  • Own and maintain key documentation (policies procedures templates) for consistency and compliance.

Strategic Advisory & Transformation

  • Assess global mobility programs against business needs stakeholder feedback and market trends.
  • Identify and manage preferred vendor partnerships to enable effective program delivery.

Operational Excellence & Service Delivery

  • Oversee global employee movement (expatriates short-term assignments foreign local hires repatriations and international transfers).
  • Ensure compliance with legislative tax and risk management requirements.
  • Manage vendor performance for quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and escalation point for complex cases.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop the Global Mobility team providing coaching training and career growth opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor market trends and proactively enhance policies processes and employee experience.
  • Drive simplification and efficiency in global mobility operations
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to design harmonized mobility programs with clear roles and responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience:

The candidate should have an academic degree (preferably in human resources) and experience in managing a global mobility function. The candidate should have broad experience and understand the complexity of leading mobility issues.

  • Holds an academic degree preferably in Tax Human Resources or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing an in-house global mobility function with a deep understanding of the complexities involved in leading global mobility programs.
  • Broad knowledge and a strong track record across all major components of Global Mobility processes and policies.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a complex matrix organization balancing multiple priorities and stakeholders. Demonstrates maturity and confidence in engaging with senior business leaders and people managers building trust and influence at all levels.
  • Exceptional communication consulting and presentation skills. Skilled at listening guiding and co-creating solutions with diverse stakeholders.
  • Applies common sense and critical thinking to identify opportunities for simplification and continuous improvement driving better outcomes.
  • Role models Arcadis values fostering collaboration inspiring teams and leading with integrity. Demonstrates ownership accountability and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
