SERVICE DESK TECHNICIAN - INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES - CORPORATE OFFICE (AUSTIN MN)

Please Note** This position will support department business hours of 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be flexible dependent upon business needs as well as the incumbents needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides technical computer support and training to internal computer users which is primarily accomplished via the telephone.
  • Assists internal computer users with resolutions to questions and problems regarding computer software hardware and services.
  • Identifies researches and provides solutions for these issues to the satisfaction of the computer users requirements.
  • Coordinates the referral of difficult questions and problems to appropriate technical professional or service personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Two years post high school technical education or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and follow-through.
  • Demonstrated pattern of initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and balance multiple tasks at once.
  • Knowledge of PC hardware.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Lotus Notes and Windows.
  • Basic understanding of computer networks and components including Ethernet wireless and TCP/IP.
  • Must be able to lift personal computer equipment up to 50 lbs.

At Hormel Foods base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $22.00-$30.75 per hour and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge skill set level of experience and geographic market location.
