Scotia Village is looking for a dependable Driver. The successful candidate can work independently be punctual and have great customer service skills. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED IN THIS POSITION - Operate cars buses and vans to transport residents to and from doctors appointments and outings with activity staff and other trips as deemed necessary by the Director of Wellness.
- Work closely with the Director of Resident Services transportation staff and all activity staff for any changes or emergencies arising during the day.
- Maintain flexible schedule to handle changes on short notice.
- Report for work early or stays late with Directors knowledge to provide transportation. There are some nights and weekend needs for activity transportation.
- Exhibit patience and understanding with residents special needs such as hearing visual impairments walkers or wheelchairs.
- Submit credit charge slips to Director for transportation charges.
- Maintain positive relationship with staff and residents.
- Know how to use a GPS and knowledge of the area.
- Maintain regular maintenance inspections and day to day cleaning of all vehicles.
- Attend department meetings.
- Observe the Kintura Employee Handbook and be knowledgeable on department policies and emergency procedures.

- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with residents families staff and outside constituents.
- Pleasant personality patient understanding and courteous.
- Dependable accountable and able to work under pressure.
- Genuine interest in working with older adults.
- Vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- Must maintain valid Drivers License.
