Overview

A seasonal team member position with the responsibility of performing as an animated character in a variety of body/fur-suit costumes while meeting greeting and entertaining our park guests with enthusiasm and high energy.

Responsibilities

  • Performing in a BRAND NEW show dancing and entertaining our guests!
  • Ensure a positive experience for every guest and maintain the illusion of costume characters in a professional manner.
  • Perform at onsite as well as off-site promotional events representing Six Flags Over Georgia.
  • Maintain character costumes including general cleaning and daily maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean working environment both in guest view and behind the scenes.
  • Attend all costumed appearances as seen necessary by department management/standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Payrate: $14/hr.

Qualifications

  • Be at least 16 years of age.
  • Height range: 411 58
  • Body type: Thin build
  • Communicate effectively in the English language including the ability to read speak and understand the English language.
  • Be available to work flexible hours early mornings at nights on weekends and on holidays.

IF CONSIDERED you will be asked to audition in-person at a location in Atlanta Ga. You will need to wear appropriate dance/athletic wear with sneakers. Jazz Shoes are permitted. You do not have to be an experienced dancer to audition.

  • React well in stressful and emergency situations.
  • Possess above-average communication skills.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be safety conscious while also outgoing with a friendly demeanor.
  • Be willing to actively engage guests.
  • Continued standing and bending.
  • Eye/hand coordination near vision hearing and speech. Manual dexterity gross motor skills and color definition.
  • Stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time and as many as 14 hours a day; walk over 3 miles per day over various surfaces.
  • Work in heat direct sunlight cold humidity and temperature change for up to 45-minute intervals and be able to perform specific choreographed movements.
  • Lift and wear 15 lbs. of costume weight.
