Job Summary
Vice President Experience Designer Client Service
At JP Morgan Asset Management our Product and Experience team is on a mission to build the worlds greatest asset management platform.
We are hiring a senior Experience Designer to join our design team with a focus on Client Service applications. This role will be critical to the delivery of powerful user-friendly products for sophisticated financial service professionals. Youll provide design and design leadership with cross-functional partners and contribute to the growth and development of our highly skilled (and friendly!) design team.
What you will do
- Provide both hands-on design and design leadership across a suite of high-impact experiences
- Solve complex problems through user-centered design while elevating design thinking across the organization
- Lead and execute the full range of user research and design activities from discovery through validation
- Champion a research-informed design approach ensuring decisions are grounded in qualitative and quantitative insights
- Mentor designers and contribute to our collaborative culture by sharing expertise communicating compelling ideas and bringing creativity to your work every day
Responsibilities
- Lead the entire user-centered design process including research ideation design and iterative refinement
- Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams in product and technology
- Deliver design solutions grounded in validated user needsclarify user journeys create high-fidelity mockups and build rapid prototypes
- Collaborate closely with UI developers to ensure design feasibility and quality implementation providing guidance on complex implementation challenges
- Champion and advance our design system and interaction patterns across the platform
Skills
- Deep expertise across multiple experience design disciplines: user research information architecture interaction design visual design prototyping and usability testing
- Proficiency with Figma
- Fluency with design systems and the ability to contribute to their evolution
- Experience with research tools such as Maze
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate design rationale persuasively to designers product and technology partners and senior business leaders
Experience and Education
- 7 years as an Experience Designer in a product or agency environment
- Bachelors or Masters degree in UX HCI Design or related field or equivalent practical experience
- Proven track record leading design initiatives with agile development teams
- Experience designing enterprise applications or complex data-rich products
- Experience designing for financial services strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide other designers
