Location: Mary Rowlandson School

Pay: Bargained Scale

Hours: .6FTE 22.5 hrs per week (Mon Fri)

Organizational Scope:

Reporting to the Director of Food Services and to the Building Principal works directly under the Cafeteria Manager and collaboratively with lunchroom staff.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform food preparation service and clean up tasks; snack bar salad bar food preparation baking cooking
  • Operate Power Lunch as required.
  • Perform set-up activities; assemble recipe/menu items wash and cut fruits and vegetables slice breads and meats etc.
  • Perform servicing activities; fill line-serving units measure and monitor quantities.
  • Cook; bake breads and desserts steam vegetables bake meats etc
  • Operate equipment
  • Assist in any food service area

Job Qualifications & Physical Demands:

Must have training and/or experience in food preparation and service. Must be able to work collaboratively with other staff. Must be able to operate cash register and computerized power lunch program. Servsafe Certification preferred. Must be able to read instructions have mathematical ability to add and subtract work with money. Ability to lift maximum of 40 pounds. Frequent lifting standing significant walking; repetitive tasks.
