This position establishes and facilitates the realization of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategy mission and business objectives. As a member of leadership team The Supply Chain Head identifies and takes action to deliver optimal service levels and financial value.
Job Description
Major accountabilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize costs inventory levels and delivery performances.
- Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals including planning logistics customs trade and compliance and warehousing to ensure effective execution of supply chain activities.
- Oversee and manage the supply chain activities for Libya in addition to Egypt activities.
Sales and Business Planning (S&BP):
- Own S&BP process locally to ensure optimization of processes and deliver agreed sales and inventory levels.
- Agree on optimal inventory levels in market in alignment with region country organizations and in line with contractual agreements.
- Ensure timely booking of orders and track production release and shipments with manufacturing sites Hub & External Supply Operations.
- Address and resolve any issues affecting supply of products to markets to ensure achievement of country financial & growth objectives.
Demand Management & Forecasting:
- Facilitate and agree sales forecast with country organizations.
- Ensure effective and timely communication (upload) of short term and long-term forecasts to site.
- Ensure sales forecasts are in line with in-market sales plans and target levels.
Warehouse and Distribution Management:
- Lead all aspects related to 3PL qualification contracting and monitoring with respect to local and global policies.
- Budget settings and managing all costs/spent in efficient and continuous improvement mindset.
- Ownership all operational activities and KPIs to ensure world class service in line with organization objectives.
Customs and Trade Compliance Management:
- Oversight all importation & exportation activities in line with local & global guidelines.
- Full ownership of contracting managing & communication with customs brokers and other external partners.
- Management of all financial transactions bookings and cost savings in line with local policies
Project management and Process improvement:
- Lead and participate in special projects as and when required by company (e.g. sourcing of 3PL warehousing operations Product transfers introduction of new presentations optimizing supply model incorporate bar coding product standardization etc.)
- Process improvement: Improve SC processes and develop country Supply Chain Strategy according to STO Supply Chain Strategy.
External Supplier Management:
- Set up relationship with local external suppliers to optimize supply inventory and processes.
- Manage the Master Production Schedule for the tactical horizon (3 to 24 months) ensuring capacity and resources utilization.
- Coordinates action plans toremediateresources constraints andmanagesupply KPIs reporting and analysis.
Launch Management:
- Provide standardized launch supply performance and ensure active participation and inputs by Supply Chain in alignment with Country Launch Manager and Regulatory.
Key performance indicators:
- Delivery Performance -Throughput Time -Inventory Level (WIP Cost) -Quality-First Time Right Release Rate and Cost Efficiency Savings -HSE (Occupational Accident Rate) -Customer Service Level -Stock-outs -Inventory Coverage -SC Costs -Write offs -Forecast Accuracy and Bias -OTIF Stock Adherence -PCE and HC Budget Targets Warehouse & Distribution Budget -Launch & Transfer Execution -LCM projects status -On time launch -Strong interface between Technical Operations and Franchise/Commercial Operations (feedback) -Sandoz Financial Control Framework GxP and regulatory compliance -Toll reconciliation variances -Relevant month end /year end performed without discrepancies -Master data quality (accuracy completeness consistency and timelines -Regulatory compliant Master data no recall no deviation no stock out caused by Hub Master data -On time creation and availability of Hub Master data
What youll bring to the role:
- Bachelors degree with 10 years of Professional experience in Supply Chain Planning Management with 5 years manager experience in a multinational company preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Solid understanding of key supply chain planning processes (Demand & Supply Planning S&OP) and used technologies.
- Several years of experience in leading managing and developing teams
- Excellent in setting clear directions for others in times of uncertainty change and transformation.
- Strong track record in restructuring reorganizing change and cost savings programs in Supply Chain.
- Proactive result- and solution-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills with the ability to approach challenges with an open mind and explore alternative solutions.
- High customer and team orientation as well as strong communication skills.
- Demonstrate the companys values and ethical standards serving as a role model for the supply chain team and fostering a culture of integrity accountability and professionalism.
- Demonstrate ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment promoting a sense of teamwork and cooperation.
- Ability to set ambitious goals and drive continuous improvement initiatives with strong ambition to strive for excellence.
- Experience with supply chain management software (such as SAP APOKinaxis etc)
