Candu Energy is currently looking for experienced piping analysis engineers to join our engineering team. The work is in support of Life Extension Projects for the on-going and anticipated retube of CANDU6 reactors and requires technical expertise in the analysis of feeder piping feeder supports and feeder in-line components. This role is based out of the Candu Energy Inc. home office in Mississauga Ontario Canada. This is a permanent full-time position.

Your role

• Demonstrate understanding technical documents such as engineering drawings and bill of materials calculations design specifications design/analysis reports design requirements design manuals technical specifications (for procurement fabrication and site installation) data sheets system classification lists code classifications commissioning specifications etc.

• Prepare technical documents such as design/analysis reports design requirements design descriptions design decision documents design specifications fabrication technical specifications installation/removal specifications etc.

• Perform thermal fatigue seismic linear and non-linear analyses in accordance with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section III Div.1 code requirements.

• Support the project team by helping them with the design and analysis of complex piping and support arrangements using finite element analysis software (i.e. ANSYS Mechanical and/or LS-DYNA).

• Communicate with the clients and suppliers to provide technical assistance and resolution of any technical queries that may arise.

• Prepare requisitions or Engineering Quotation Requests (EQR) for equipment and materials to support procurement.

• Provide technical guidance and instruction to Designers/Drafters and more junior staff as required.
