The Consulting Practice within Visa Consulting & Analytics provides consulting advisory and solution services for Visas largest issuers in North America. We apply deep expertise in the payments industry to provide solutions to assist clients with their key business priorities drive growth and improve profitability. The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as improving profitability strategic growth customer experience digital payments and managing risk.
The Risk Practice advises Visa clients and ecosystem partners on core risk management areas for card portfolio management including originations strategies underwriting credit line management and collections. The selected candidate will primarily serve as a project leader and an advisor to clients on Credit Risk related engagements. There will also be opportunities to develop knowledge and client-facing skills in the areas of Fraud Identity Risk AI and other risk practice initiatives.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Proactively engage with Visa internal teams in regular strategic & planning discussions
- Support Directors in leading consulting initiatives and contributes to closing engagements by identifying potential opportunities with clients
- Develop frameworks approaches solutions and recommendations that effectively and efficiently address the most impactful opportunities and challenges
- Help to build solutions and measurable insights that will help clients to grow their portfolios and customer engagement in their core business
- Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g. marketing sales risk legal) and across global regional teams to execute projects in ways that use the breadth and depth of Visas resources. Also partner with segment teams to drive actionable client results.
- Produce insights analyses and recommendations to improve client performance boost growth drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic mentorship for client priorities across the verticals and segments
- Ability to reliably manipulate and analyze large data sets (industry and Visa) to identify meanings insights and recommendations for clients
- Build new scalable solutions toolkits standard methodology documents and consulting approach that can be applied across VCA practice

Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
- Prior experience at large management consulting firm Financial Institution or at a major card issuer focused on credit risk areas
- Experience using financial indicators to measure business performance with a significant focus on impacting return on investment
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated intellectual and analytical complexity
- Self-motivated results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently
- Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and/or payment schemes including products & services business systems and processes marketing initiatives and card acquiring/issuing experience
- Outstanding communication storytelling and presentation skills
- People-first mindset team player experience mentoring junior-level individuals
- Collaborative and flexible able to work effectively in matrixed organization. technologically savvy curious up to date with AI digital trends and applications
