About the Opportunity

DASA is looking for a full-time Service Manager Community Programsbased in Alice Springs NT.

This important leadership role reports directly to the Deputy CEO and oversees a range of critical community-focused programs. The Service Manager will provide strategic direction lead culturally responsive teams and ensure compliance with best-practice models and Quality Improvement Council standards.

More specifically your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Actively participate in and make a meaningful contribution to DASAs Cultural Advisory Group supporting cultural governance safety and organisational direction.
  • Leading the Methamphetamine Outreach Team (MOT) Aboriginal Outreach Team (AOT) and Sobering Up Shelter (SUS) teams
  • Managing the delivery of the Drink and Drug Driver Education Program and Prison In-Reach Program
  • Ensuring team rostering training performance management and stakeholder engagement
  • Overseeing incident management data collection and reporting
  • Facilitating regular team meetings and maintaining high staff morale
  • Delivering culturally safe services aligned with funding and compliance frameworks
  • Representing DASA in community engagement and education events
  • Participating in the organisations on-call management roster (approx. once every 6 weeks)
  • Managing program budgets purchasing approvals within delegation and contributing to monthly leadership reporting.

About You

To qualify you will need a Diploma in Community Services AOD Mental Health or similar with significant ideally 25 years relevant experience including management roles in a similar sector. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) is highly desirable.

Additionally the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Demonstrated experience in team supervision rostering performance coaching and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong time management conflict resolution and public speaking skills
  • Attending and actively participating in the Cultural Advisory Group activities
  • Skilled in managing multiple teams and overseeing various operational areas such as Outreach and Shelter
  • Cultural awareness flexibility and the resilience to adapt to challenges associated with remote or cross-cultural work
  • Capability to develop deliver and evaluate community outreach and education programs
  • A current NT C Class Drivers Licence and the ability to travel to remote communities as required
  • Eligibility for Ochre Card and a National Police Clearance
  • Willingness to work on-call and respond to critical situations when required
  • Experience with client management and HR systems (e.g. Mimosa Elmo or similar) is desirable.
