Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for a short-term assignment in a supportive clinical environment. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative care team while providing direct patient care. The Medical Assistant will assist with both front-office and back-office operations to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality clinical support.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and room patients professionally and courteously
Record vital signs accurately
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture
Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures
Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
Schedule appointments and manage phone communications
Support daily front- and back-office operations
Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
Provide patient education and assist with health outreach initiatives
Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
23 years of total experience preferred
Medical Assistant Certification preferred
Experience in Occupational Health preferred
Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
EMR experience required
Strong attention to detail communication and computer skills
Interest in health education and patient outreach
BLS or CPR certification required
Required Skills:
Front- and back-office support
Phlebotomy
EKG
Point-of-care (POC) testing
Patient rooming and vital signs
Scheduling and phone management
