Medicare Specialist
Job Summary
The Medicare Specialist is responsible for managing and servicing an established book of Medicare clients while driving new Medicare plan sales. This role focuses on client education plan recommendations enrollment support and ongoing service ensuring compliance with all Medicare regulations and enrollment guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Manage and service an existing book of approximately 500 Medicare clients
- Proactively reach out to clients to present Medicare plan options and enrollment opportunities
- Answer client questions regarding coverage benefits eligibility and enrollment periods
- Conduct Medicare enrollments in compliance with CMS regulations and internal guidelines
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
- Support a small book of individual insurance accounts as needed
- Utilize CRM systems to track client interactions opportunities and policy details
Qualifications / Requirements
- Active Life & Health (L&H) license required
- AHIP certification required; additional Medicare-related certifications strongly preferred
- Experience working in a brokerage agency or carrier environment
- Strong working knowledge of Medicare Advantage Medicare Supplement and Part D plans
- In-depth understanding of Medicare enrollment periods and compliance requirements
- Salesforce experience preferred
- 5 years of Medicare-focused experience preferred; open to candidates with 3 years and strong references
Compensation Package
- Compensation: $60K$80K (depending on experience)
