Underwriting Risk Advisory Senior Analyst

On behalf of a leading and highly regarded reinsurance company in Zurich we are seeking a motivated Senior Analyst to join a dynamic Risk Advisory team supporting Underwriting through analytical solutions innovative tools and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements refine problem statements and shape analytical solutions.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Scope plan and deliver initiatives within the Risk Advisory domain.
  • Ensure initiatives are aligned with business priorities and clearly defined objectives.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and partners when required.
  • Perform data analysis using statistical and computational techniques to support decision-making.
  • Develop tools to automate recurring tasks and reporting processes.
  • Apply strong data validation and documentation standards to ensure accuracy consistency and transparency.
  • Produce high-quality analyses reports and presentations tailored to stakeholder needs.
  • Translate business requirements into analytical and technical specifications.
  • Review existing processes and systems identifying opportunities for simplification and efficiency gains.
  • Contribute to the evolution of analytical and business transformation methodologies.
  • Continuously develop technical and domain expertise through training and applied work.

Profile

  • Degree in a scientific technical or economic discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a quantitative technical or analytical role (experience in reinsurance insurance or financial services is a strong plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on data analysis experience.
  • High level of curiosity autonomy and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Excel and at least one programming language.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
