Firmware Engineer - DSP and Microcontroller:
- The position will be responsible for designing developing managing and maintaining the Software used inside the DSP (Digital Signal Processing) to control the UPS power electronic converters generate diagnostic and handle the communication buses.
Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:

- The position will be responsible for designing developing managing and maintaining the Software used inside the DSP (Digital Signal Processing) to control the UPS power electronic converters generate diagnostic and handle the communication buses.
- he/he will design implement and support complex Software applications and the relative documentation.
- She/he will work in an international FW team.
- She/he will create functional architecture and design specifications
- She/he will test and validate the Software in accordance with the standard procedures.
- She/he will analyze the Software already implemented to understand all the functionalities.
- She/he will Implement new control algorithms
- Software installation at Customer site for prototype units
- Customer support and visit to manage relevant issues
Qualifications:
Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
- Engineering degree Informatic degree or equivalent study with experience in Embedded Software (DSP or Microcontroller)
Additional / Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Language C
- Practical knowledge in general Computer Science: data structures and algorithms.
- Good understanding of the main operating systems concepts: processes memory
- management file systems task manager
- Experience with Embedded application with DSP or Microcontroller knowledge of:
- CAN-controller; I²C-Bus; UART; SPI A/D and D/A Converters FPGA.
- Practical knowledge in SW versioning tools like CVS SVN GIT
- Practical knowledge in SW Project Management like Rally
- Closed Loop Techniques: Discrete dominion; CLARK & PARK; D/Q & Alpha/Beta dominions
- PWM modulation and space vector
- Control modelling for MATLAB & Simulink
- Architecture of the main Power converter such as AC/DC DC/AC DC/DC Step-Up/Down
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn quickly.
- National Instrument labVIEW System
- Instruments: Oscilloscope; DVM; Logic state analyzer.
- Assembler Texas Instruments TMS320C2xx Family
- Code Composer Studio (Texas Instruments)
