Budget Analyst
Location: Indiantown FL Duration: 12 Months Rate: Up to $37/hour
Overview
Our client is a leading energy company seeking an experienced Budget Analyst for a 12-month contract position. This role offers the opportunity to work with a Fortune 500 energy leader supporting critical financial operations and budget management at the plant level. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of financial operations experience and strong expertise in SAP and financial reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive financial and operating budget reports at the plant/site level
- Assist with day-to-day accounting activities including journal entry preparation
- Ensure proper consolidation and reporting of all project entities
- Maintain SOX compliance and support audit activities
- Create forecasting budgeting and site-level financial consolidation
- Prepare quarterly tax provisions and ensure timely reporting
- Administer and interpret accounting policies applicable to the site
- Develop high-level financial reporting and forecasting models
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting (required)
- CPA or Masters degree in related field (preferred)
- 5 years of experience managing financial operations and accounting policy administration
- Strong proficiency in SAP/FMIP/Passport systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills plus proficiency in Word ACCESS PowerPoint and Lotus Notes
- Experience with financial reporting processes and budget consolidation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
