The Opportunity: The Storyteller of Security
We are seeking a creative and analytical Data Visualization & Reporting Consultant to own the narrative of our clients security this role you will:
- Design and build interactive client dashboards that make complex security metrics (MTTD vulnerability trends threat landscape) instantly understandable.
- Automate and elevate the reporting process for our Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) turning SOC data into compelling executive presentations.
- Develop custom compliance reports (GDPR HIPAA PCI-DSS) that help clients prove due diligence to auditors and boards.
You are the bridge between our 24/7 SOC analysts and our clients leadership teams. Your work directly demonstrates the ROI of our ShieldMax service and is featured in the Success Metrics We Track section of our proposals.
Core Responsibilities
- Dashboard Development & Management:
- Design build and maintain interactive Power BI / Tableau dashboards for clients integrating data from our SIEM EDR vulnerability scanners and ticketing systems.
- Create role-based views: Executive Summary Technical Operations and Compliance dashboards.
- Ensure data accuracy and automate refresh cycles.
- Strategic Reporting & Client Communications:
- Own the production of the monthly and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) packagestransforming data into narratives about risk reduction threat response and program maturity.
- Work with the Cybersecurity Delivery Consultant to tailor reports to each clients specific Joint Success Plan and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Develop automated report pipelines to increase scalability.
- Compliance & Audit Support:
- Build standardized and ad-hoc report templates that map security controls to compliance frameworks (NIST CIS GDPR HIPAA).
- Assist clients and internal teams with data extraction and visualization for audit evidence requests.
- Data Optimization & Tooling:
- Collaborate with SOC engineers to improve data ingestion normalization and tagging in the SIEM to enable richer reporting.
- Recommend and implement improvements to our reporting tools and processes.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
- 3 years of professional experience in data visualization business intelligence or technical reporting.
- A strong portfolio is required. Please be prepared to share examples of dashboards or reports you have built (confidential information anonymized).
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (strongly preferred) or Tableau.
- Strong skills in:
- Data manipulation with SQL and Power Query.
- Crafting narratives with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word for executive audiences.
- Understanding data structures and APIs.
- Bonus Points For:
- Experience with security data (SIEM like Microsoft Sentinel Splunk; EDR platforms).
- Understanding of cybersecurity metrics and frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK NIST).
- Basic scripting for automation (Python PowerShell).
- Mindset: You are equal parts analyst designer and communicator. You obsess over clarity and actionable insights.
