Job Summary
Shambaugh & Son L.P. is looking for a Fire Alarm / Special Hazards this role you will be responsible for designing fire alarm detection and special hazard type systems for a variety of construction projects as well as specialized fire suppression systems which would include clean agent CO2 and VESDA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and layout fire alarm detection and clean agent suppression systems.
- Self-development and training
- Prepare drawings specifications calculations and schematics required to support the installation of fire alarm systems.
- Maintain project drawing files associate records and documentation tracking.
- Timely completion and processing of required paperwork.
- Help improve the design department.
- Promote safety to the team members on their projects.
- Assist project estimator with project cost and change order issues.
- Planning scheduling and project management of their projects.
- Quality design & layout of fire alarm & releasing systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelors degree in electrical engineering technology electrical engineering a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience. Examples include architectural civil engineering design engineering technology mechanical engineering and construction management degrees. Degree can be replaced with a minimum of 5 year experience in the fire alarm industry.
- Good computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other software programs.
- High electrical & mechanical interest.
- AutoCAD experience preferred.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Valid drivers license and excellent driving record.
- Must be organized and self-motivated with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
- Regular and reliable attendance including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
