Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location: Brooklyn NY
Position Type: Contract Travel or Local
Compensation
Traveler Rate: Up to $2600/week
Local Rate: $2173/week
Shift & Schedule
Shifts: Days or Nights available
Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts (12.5-hour shifts)
Hours per Week: 34.5 hours
Weekends: Every other weekend required
Break: 1-hour lunch
Job Summary
A healthcare facilityis seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses to deliver high-quality critical care services. The RN will manage complex patient conditions perform advanced clinical procedures and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced ICU environment.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
Perform detailed patient assessments and continuous monitoring
Administer medications IV therapies and conscious sedation per protocol
Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy independently
Respond effectively to emergencies and changes in patient condition
Accurately document patient care in accordance with hospital standards
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Ensure compliance with safety infection control and quality standards
Educate patients and families as appropriate
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of Critical Care (ICU) experience
Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience
Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
Education
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program
(BSN preferred)
Certifications & Licensure (Required)
Active New York State RN License
Primary Source Verification via NYSED
BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
