Job Summary
Location: Hybrid (Munich-based team 3 days/week in office); Workload: Full-time; Start: ASAP

Hi we are Jessy Works an AI startup rethinking accounting from the ground up.
While accounting firms are struggling to find qualified staff we build the solution: AI-powered accounting on autopilot.
Our AI assistants handle bookkeeping routine workflows and client communication dramatically expanding the capacity of tax advisory firms.
Now we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who wants to take real ownership ship production-ready AI systems and help scale a mission-critical product.

Tasks
- Build & own production systems across backend frontend and application layers
- Design develop and operate AI-powered features including GenAI pipelines and AI inference workloads
- Work end-to-end: from architecture and implementation to go-live monitoring and continuous improvement
- Develop primarily in Python and TypeScript with Java experience as a strong plus
- Ship on AWS Serverless infrastructure using tools like Terraform and Kubernetes (K8s)
- Own DevOps responsibilities: CI/CD infrastructure-as-code observability and system reliability
- Use AI-assisted coding workflows (e.g. Aider Chat GitHub Copilot) to move fast without sacrificing quality
- Actively contribute to sprint planning refinement and execution
- Identify and resolve impediments independently you dont wait for perfect instructions
- Collaborate closely with product customers founders and AI stakeholders to turn ideas into scalable solutions
- Support product launches and live operations ensuring stability and performance in production
Requirements
- Senior-level experience as a Software Engineer (several years in production environments)
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python (must-have)
- Very good knowledge of TypeScript / JavaScript
- Java experience is a strong plus
- Solid background in AI / GenAI systems including AI inference
- Experience with AWS (Serverless) Terraform and Kubernetes (K8s)
- DevOps mindset: you build it you run it
- Experience building stable scalable and maintainable production systems
- At least one full product go-live you were actively involved in
- Experience with product launches and operating live systems
- Strong understanding of backend frontend and application architecture
- Comfortable understanding Windows OS session management
- Proven experience in sprint planning refinement and agile execution
- Highly self-driven pragmatic and solution-oriented
- German language skills at minimum C1 level (spoken & written) -> You will have customer contact
