We are Hiring Medical Registrar-Respiratory Department for our Hospital client in Dublin.
Job type: Permanent / Full-time
Full-time 39 hours per week
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions under Consultant supervision.
Participate in the assessment diagnosis and management of respiratory illnesses including asthma COPD pneumonia interstitial lung disease TB lung cancer and respiratory failure.
Manage acute admissions ward rounds and respiratory on-call duties in line with hospital rotas.
Perform and interpret relevant investigations such as ABGs spirometry chest imaging and basic bronchoscopy assistance where trained.
Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory nurses physiotherapists radiology oncology and ICU teams.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical notes discharge summaries and electronic health records.
Participate in outpatient respiratory clinics and follow-up of patients as required.
Supervise and support Junior Doctors Interns and medical students as appropriate.
Engage in clinical audit quality improvement initiatives and departmental teaching activities.
Comply with hospital policies HSE standards patient safety protocols and professional codes of practice.
Requirements
Medical degree recognised by the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
Active registration with the Irish Medical Council (General or Specialist Division as appropriate).
Minimum 23 years post-internship clinical experience including experience in General Medicine and/or Respiratory Medicine.
Previous experience in a Respiratory Medicine post (Registrar or equivalent).
Completion of or enrollment in relevant postgraduate training (e.g. MRCP or equivalent).
Experience in teaching audit or research activities.
Familiarity with HSE clinical governance patient safety and infection prevention standards
