We are hiring a Paediatric Staff Nurse - PACU to a Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe high-quality family-centred nursing care to paediatric patients in accordance with individualised care plans professional scope of practice and hospital policies.
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments including history-taking ongoing evaluation of clinical status and identification of care needs documenting findings accurately and promptly.
Plan implement evaluate and revise nursing interventions based on patient response clinical condition and desired outcomes.
Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed promptly reporting and escalating any changes in the childs condition to the appropriate medical and nursing staff.
Ensure effective admission transfer and discharge processes supporting children and families throughout their hospital journey.
Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention aseptic techniques isolation procedures health and safety and risk management protocols within the clinical environment.
Promote dignity privacy confidentiality and safeguarding of paediatric patients at all times ensuring a parent/guardian or staff member accompanies children as required.
Communicate effectively with children families and the multidisciplinary team providing education health promotion and support appropriate to age and developmental level.
Contribute to quality improvement audit accreditation and clinical governance processes and support the supervision teaching and preceptorship of students and new staff.
Maintain ongoing professional development comply with mandatory training demonstrate effective time management and uphold professional standards appearance and conduct at all times
Requirements
Current registration with NMBI as a Registered Childrens Nurse in good standing;
Current registration with NMBI as a Registered General Nurse in good standing with a minimum of 2 years post-registration paediatric experience.
A minimum of 1 years experience in a Medical or Surgical ward is preferred
