We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to assist in building and strengthening our Identity team. GoDaddy is a global products seller to customers from all over the world. Our Identity platform handles login permissions and profile and preferences for all GoDaddys customers. We are looking for strong Java engineers to help work on the profile & preferences services that help the user keep their profile up to date.

What youll get to do...

• Design develop and optimize back-end services APIs and systems that power GoDaddys applications.
• Work with distributed systems and microservices to create scalable secure and high-performance solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers front-end engineers and data teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Write clean maintainable and testable code adhering to best practices in software development.
• Investigate and resolve software-related issues optimize performance and deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Advocate for new technologies that boost productivity and efficiency keeping our tech stack modern and effective.
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions influencing the technical direction of our platforms.
• Be a team player: Actively participate in discussions brainstorm ideas and propose solutions shaping the direction of our shared services.

Your experience should include...

• 6 years of experience in software engineering with expertise in Java Spring Boot and developing large-scale distributed applications.
• Proven leadership background with experience as a team lead and strong interest in managerial growth.
• Skilled in designing and implementing RESTful APIs with a solid understanding of microservice architecture.
• 2 years of cloud experience preferably with AWS along with knowledge of containers and cloud-native development.
• Strong foundation in data structures software design relational and NoSQL databases as well as scalability performance tuning and caching strategies.

You may also have...

• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g. Kafka RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• Management experience isnt required but is a strong plus as were looking for someone ready to step into a leadership role within 6 months.
