About the Role
Were looking for anindustrious anddetail-orientedAccounting Specialistto join ourFinanceteam. Reporting to theControlleryoullbehandling a slew of responsibilities acrossaccounts receivable accounts payable and payroll to help manage the day-to-day needs of a growing enterprise.
WhatYoullDo
- Performtimelybookkeeping entries for all payable and payroll transactions that reflect the inter-company relationships and support the financial reporting
- ReconciletheAR ledgerprepare AR aging reports for management review and lead internal AR meetings to discuss collection efforts
- Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy to ensure vendors are paid on timeandmanagepayable records within our expense management software
- Generate and sendaccuratecustomer invoicesin a timely mannerandif necessarywork closely withotherteams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Process and review both Canadian and U.S payroll to ensure accuracy of each pay periodand review employee expense reports and process reimbursements ensuring they align with our company expense policy
- Apply customer payments accurately to the correct invoices in the accounting system
- Manage collections activities including sending reminders and negotiating paymentplanswhen necessary as well asidentifyingshort payments andworkto resolve them promptly
- Recommend process improvements tooptimizebilling collections and cash application processes
What You Bring
- 3years ofdirectexperienceworking in accounting including roles in accounts payable accounts receivable and/or payroll or a combination of all three.
- Financial education through certifications courses or training thatdemonstratea basic understanding of accounting principles
- Having or working towards a PCP designation or equivalent is preferred
- Experience withExcel with strong data entry skills
- Experience with Dayforce TriNet Ramp Salesforce or similar systems preferred
- Exceptional communication skills and a keen eye for details
- Comfortable working with multiple entities and the organization skills to back it up
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative fast-moving environment
- Willingness to travel occasionally; valid passport with no travel restrictions (Canada/USA; Vietnam ifrequired)
Compensation:$60000$75000CAD per year
This role requires working onsite in ourCambridgeofficetwo days per week.
