Established in 2000 the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is GE Aerospaces multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Pushing the boundaries of innovation every day engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies advanced materials and additive manufacturing.
Role Overview:
- Manage financial execution of Software as a Service commercial contracts including billing schedules invoicing accuracy and cash flow alignment.
- Support revenue recognition activities in accordance with applicable accounting standards (ASC 606 / IFRS 15) including contract review and monthly close support.
- Support monthly pacing and forecasting for commercial revenue partnering with FP&A to align bookings billings revenue and cash.
- Partner with Sales Legal and Deal teams to review contract terms (pricing usage metrics renewals amendments) and assess financial impacts.
- Prepare and maintain contract-level financial tracking including deferred revenue unbilled receivables and backlog visibility.
- Support audits controls and internal reviews related to commercial finance and revenue processes.
- Drive standardization and process improvements across billing and revenue workflows to improve accuracy and cycle time.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders across time zones delivering timely and actionable financial insights.
- Support monthly quarterly and year-end Finance close activities for revenue and orders including reconciliations and variance analysis.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Finance Accounting Commerce or related discipline or Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Minimum 3.5 years of experience in commercial finance revenue accounting billing or financial analysis roles.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and contract financial management.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail; ability to manage multiple contracts and timelines.
- English language fluency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Software as a Service or software commercial models including subscriptions and/or usage-based pricing.
- Familiarity with ERP/Oracle billing CRM or contract management systems; experience improving data quality and controls.
- Ability to communicate clearly with commercial and operational stakeholders on financial implications.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset rigor and continuous improvement orientation aligned with FLIGHT DECK.
