This cannot be done in isolation it requires bank wide collaboration amongst the full group of Data Management contributors in ING.

In WB Lending we are part of the broader ING Data Ecosystem. We are Data Owner of all WB Lending Data in ING. Our Data is being used for different purposes; Business control (KYC Regulatory) Data analysis & insights Digitization efforts etc. We have high ambitions when it comes to Data and are looking for a driven Data protection Expert that can help us reach our ambitions in a safe & compliant manner. Especially in the age of AI this become a crucial role for Lending.

The team

You will be part of the Area Data Management & Platform services in Tribe Lending that is consisting of multiple squads all linked to a different Data topic. The team you will be part of is focusing on all topics related to Data protection in close collab with Data Governance & quality colleagues.

Roles and responsibilities

As a Data Governance & Protection expert you will be entrusted to different activities and responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design preparation and coordination of various Data Protection
• initiatives with a main focus on Data protection in AI
• You will challenge advise and support the different teams in WB Lending on identifying analysing and mitigation of Data Protection risks. You will make sure that we stay compliant and within the risk appetite.
• Build a strong relationship with key stakeholders in the broader ING landscape
• Lead an/or facilitate implementation initiatives related to data protection data
• management and record retention frameworks and policies within WB Lending
• Facilitate maturity assessments related to various policies impact WB Lending

• Relevant experience in (banking industry) Data Management or risk
• Knowledge of WB Data Protection policies and WB Lending
• The ability to simplify complexity and drive operational excellence and the willingness to really understand the data
• Experience in data analytics and AI to drive data governance around these topics
• Proven planning & organizational skills
• Driven and customer focused loving to collaborate with different people.
• You are a team player but can deliver individually in close cooperation with other ING colleagues
