This role combines strategic project management discipline with hands-on technical delivery expertise supporting clients across the Utilities sector to achieve robust compliant and future-ready technical solutions.
ResponsibilitiesWhat You Will Do
- Take full ownership of large-scale Utilities projects leading delivery from initiation to successful project closure ensuring alignment with PMP/PMI best practices.
- Develop detailed project plans including cost estimates risk registers communications plans and resource allocations in accordance with PMI standards.
- Define and clarify project scope objectives and success criteria in consultation with key stakeholders ensuring requirements are well-documented validated and translated into functional specifications.
- Set up and manage robust project governance and reporting structures including regular steering committee meetings dashboards and executive presentations tailored to diverse Middle Eastern stakeholder audiences.
- Serve as the main interface for clients vendors and regulatory bodies providing authoritative updates on project status financials risks and mitigations.
- Apply structured risk and change management processes proactively identifying documenting escalating and resolving risks/challenges to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery.
- Lead and facilitate workshops presentations and training sessions for clients and internal teams ensuring clear impactful communication of complex project information.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science Business or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- PMP certification (or equivalent PMI-recognized credential) with thorough understanding and/or hands-on application of PMI project management methodologies.
- 7 years of experience managing complex IT and software delivery projects ideally within Utilities or related sectors involving customers and vendors across multiple locations and cultures.
- Demonstrated proficiency in infrastructure service delivery with a proven track record in both B2B and B2C initiatives.
- Strong background in consulting systems integration or software professional services ideally in customer-facing roles.
- Proven ability to manage projects throughout their lifecycle (initiation through closure) utilizing standardized frameworks such as PMBOK and driving adherence to schedule budget and scope.
- Experience leading virtual cross-functional and distributed teams with particular sensitivity to multicultural environments.
- Exceptional communication presentation and stakeholder management skills including the ability to clearly articulate project status risks and recommendations to C-level and technical audiences.
- Strong organizational skills attention to detail and ability to independently drive competing priorities for high-quality delivery.
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior project team members.
- Solid logical problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
