Whitley Penn a leading CPA and Consulting firm is looking for an Office Manager to join our team. This position provides office management and administrative support to our Austin office. This position requires a deadline-driven self-starter who can serve professionals at all levels in a client service environment while handling multiple projects simultaneously.
JOB DETAILS:
- Classification: Full-time; Exempt
- Office Expectations/Hours: Fully in-office position; general work schedule is Monday Friday 8 hours/day between 8am to 5pm with overtime as needed.

How Will You Make an Impact
- Lead office administration including maintenance of facilities and equipment reception and support staff administration coordination of office events and functions breakroom refreshment stocking and general support for firm leadership.
- Manage facility administration including building and parking access credentials.
- Assist with staff transitions including onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Coordinate on-site arrangements for any office relocations or remodeling.
- Contributeactively to changes in policiesprocessesor procedures using what you have experienced and learned to ensure improvement
- Monitorteam and internalstaffrelationships; remove barriers and help resolve conflictsto ensureseamless high-quality outcomes
- Serveinternalclients in a consultative role with an emphasis on exceptional client service
- Supervise provide on-the-jobtrainingand review work of others
- Participate in firms performance management process by giving specificactionableand timely feedback to team members and completing performance evaluations providing direction and coaching to team members
- Participate infirmtraining throughout the year
- Participate in the firms annual performance management and goal setting process
- Provide administrative support to the tax professionals as needed.
How Will You Get Here
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience preferably with a professional services firm.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to analyze problems and recommend solutions.
- Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing; actively listens and clearly communicates ideas and information.
- Ability to lead and work respectfully and productively with diverse individuals in a variety of roles
