Job Summary

**Job Specific Duties:**

The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to:

- Practice in accordance with the regulations of the state licensing board the ethical standards set forth by the American Psychological Association and MTF privileges.

- Perform comprehensive psychological evaluations leveraging data from clinical interviews psychological assessments and relevant collateral sources.

- Formulate psychiatric diagnoses following the criteria established in the American Psychiatric Associations Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

- Administer psychological interventions for both individuals and groups facilitating the adjustment of medical and surgical patients to their health challenges.

- Support the rehabilitation processes for patients.

- Beyond the baseline qualifications additional duties include:

- Participation in mandatory meetings during regular duty hours including professional staff conferences and relevant activities such as Quality Improvement meetings professional staff meetings Commanders staff meetings and Mental Health Flight meetings as well as other events mandated by applicable regulations or directed by the Mental Health Flight Commander or their designated representative.

- Engage in applied research and clinical investigations within the scope of clinical and behavioral health psychology.

**Work Schedule:**

The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday comprising 9 hours daily between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM inclusive of a one-hour lunch break. There are no weekend obligations on-call requirements or holiday assignments.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

**Education:** A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from a psychology program accredited by the APA.-

**Internship/Residency:** Successful completion of an APA-accredited psychology internship.-

**Experience:** At least 1 year of practice as a licensed clinical psychologist.-

**License:** An active and unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in any state.-

**Life Support Certification:** Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider from either AHA or ARC.

- **Security Clearance:** Eligibility to pass a government background check and security clearance.
