Job Summary
San Marcos Chrysler Dodge Ram Jeep is seeking an experienced dedicated and technical-focused Shop Foreman to lead our team of technicians. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations managing staff and maintaining a safe and efficient workshop. You will act as a liaison between the Service Manager Service Advisors and Technicians.
Responsibilities
- Dispatch work orders to technicians based on skill level and efficiency ensuring optimal shop flow and meeting deadlines.
- Provide hands-on assistance with complex diagnostics electrical troubleshooting and difficult repairs.
- Monitor shop performance and implement strategies for improvement
- Enforce all safety policies (OSHA) and ensure the shop remains clean and organized.
- Interact with customers to address any concerns and maintain satisfaction
- Oversee inventory order supplies and maintain shop equipment
- Work closely with Service Advisors to communicate status updates to customers and support the parts department on inventory needs.
Requirements
- 5 Years of prior experience in automotive repair and leadership roles
- 2 Years Stellantis technician experience
- Advanced diagnostics capability (specifically electrical and computerized systems).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a team effectively
- Familiarity with Dealer Management Systems (Dealertrack Dealerconnect preferred)
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Must have a clean driving record and valid DL.
- Must be willing to complete a background check and possible drug test
