Project Planning SpecialistPlanning Engineer

• Develop detailed project schedules timelines and work programs using industry-standard planning tools.
  
• Prepare baseline schedules resource plans and cost-loaded program.
  
• Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly to reflect actual performance.
  
• Identify critical path activities and potential project risks and propose mitigation measures.
  
• Coordinate with project managers engineers contractors and stakeholders to gather progress information.
  
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports dashboards and presentations for management review.
  
• Analyze project performance including schedule variances and productivity trends.
  
• Support project budgeting forecasting and cost control activities.
  
• Track deliverables milestones and contractual obligations to ensure compliance.
  
• Participate in project meetings and provide planning-related insights and recommendations.
  
• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of project planning records.
  
• Assist in the preparation of extension of time (EOT) claims and supporting documentation when required.
  
• Implement best practices in project controls and planning processes.
  
• Collaborate with procurement and construction teams to align schedules with project requirements.
  

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Construction Management or a related field
  
• Minimum of 46 years of experience in project planning and scheduling preferably in construction engineering or infrastructure projects
  
• Experience working on large-scale projects in Qatar or the GCC region is highly preferred
  

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in planning and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
  
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and project controls
  
• Solid understanding of construction sequences resource planning and cost management
  
• Ability to interpret technical drawings BOQs and contract documents
  
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
