This is a remote position.
We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to manage legal matters from initial intake through post-judgment remedies in a fast-paced high-volume environment. This fully remote role is based in the Fairfax County Northern Virginia area with occasional in-person requirements for court appearances and on-site meetings. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research drafting and analysis to support case strategy and client representation.
- Manage a high-volume caseload with precision ensuring timely and accurate execution of legal tasks.
- Provide expert guidance on legal and regulatory risks leveraging case law and statutory interpretation.
- Negotiate effectively with opposing counsel to achieve favourable case resolutions.
- Travel as needed to various courts across Virginia for hearings trials and procedural matters.
- Collaborate closely with the Managing Attorney to report on case activity outcomes and progress.
Requirements
Requirements:
- 03 years of experience in bankruptcy collections or civil litigation including active participation in court proceedings and familiarity with relevant regulations.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Additional licensure in GA SC TN FL MD MI OH or UBE passage is a strong advantage but not required.
- Proven ability to analyze complex case law and deliver actionable legal recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and Outlook.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills with a track record of clarity and professionalism.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities to thrive in a demanding deadline-driven environment.
