JOB TITLE: BLEND SETUP OPERATOR
CLASSIFICATION: CLASS D
WAGE: $24.13
DEPARTMENT: PROCESS CHEESE Legacy
WORK HOURS: 3rd SHIFT (2230-0630) MON-FRI but may vary
Description:
- Responsible for hauling cheese from storage hauling empty skids opening barrels and 640# blocks; unloading trucks grading cheese and setting blends.
- The associate will be required to complete Forklift Operator Training.
Job Responsibilities:
- Takes accurate inventory.
- Reports and/or corrects unsafe acts of conditions.
- Recordkeeping as the need arises on manual computer and other systems.
- Operates material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Relieves other personnel when needed.
- Accurate identification and transfer of product.
- Ensures that housekeeping and Kraft Quality Standards are maintained in the work area.
- Stage blends to complete production run and get production case counts.
- Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in MES applications.
- Performs other duties as advised by the Leadership Team.
- Must attend DDS meetings daily 30 minutes prior to start of shift.
- Performs variety of maintenance-type tasks such as change-overs set-ups pit stops minor maintenance and adjustments lubrication ect.
- Accountable for the Safety Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as it is outlined in our policies/procedures and processes.
- Understand and apply KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management System) practices such as 5S centerline management shift hand-offs operational standard ownership/support problem solving etc.
Minimum Requirements:
Knowledge: Basic math reading and communication.
- Working Environment: Primarily indoors with heating and cooling regulated in a general production environment.
Qualifications:
Able to acquire a fork truck license.
Physical Requirements:
- Performs bending squatting kneeling sorting and reaching to both ground level and overhead; lifts carries pushes occasionally pulls and moves up to 500 pounds holds and grips objects; must possess manual dexterity vital to operate equipment; and disassemble and reassemble equipment.
