Duties and Responsibilities

1. *Supports program implementation of online and in-person training at multiple sites.

2. *Manages GoFarm farmer training program and supplemental training courses including but not limited to soliciting interest program registration application review training program enrollment and progress tracking.

3. *Creates and supports use of shared training resources and curricula such as course guidebooks online classrooms and course content.

4. *Assists in the purchasing of training tools and supplies farm supplies and equipment soil amendments and other program supplies.

5. *Works with GFH staff to develop maintain and enforce program policies.

6. *Supports GFH staff with site management and any participant issues.

7. *Collects analyzes and evaluates program metrics and assists with reports for program partners and funders.

8. *Coordinates scheduling and alignment among different training program activities.

9. *Develops impact reports and stories.

10. *Promotes program at outreach events and site tours with possible program supporters and participants.

11. Leads planning and implementation of special projects as assigned.

12. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Agriculture Natural Sciences or related field and 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for educational program coordination curricula development program registration outreach or agricultural business; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education knowledge skills and abilities as indicated.

2. Considerable working knowledge of principles practices and techniques in the area of agriculture and/or educational programming as demonstrated by the broad knowledge of the full range of pertinent standard and evolving concepts principles and methodologies.

3. Considerable working knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state laws rules regulations and theories and systems associated with farmer training and other supplemental training courses as well as agribusiness systems and markets.

4. Demonstrated ability to resolve wide ranging complex problems through the use of creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the problems and the resolution of the problems in an effective innovative and timely manner.

5. Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.

6. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations groups team leaders and members and individuals.

7. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer apply word processing software and Google Suite products.

8. If applicable for supervisory work demonstrated ability to lead subordinates manage work priorities and projects and manage employee relations.

9. Demonstrated initiative and self-direction in managing responsibilities and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

10. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely informed and effective decisions.

11. Demonstrated ability to manage work priorities and projects effectively.

12. Demonstrated ability to plan organize and support multiple projects simultaneously.

13. Demonstrated ability to develop and facilitate creative and effective educational experiences and content.


Desirable Qualifications

1. Strong record of self-directed work and experience operating autonomously in a dynamic multi-project environment.

2. Experience with social media and outreach and/or marketing and brand development.

3. Knowledge of farm business operations and management in Hawaii.
