Job Title: Raw Material and Supplier Control Technologist
Description
We are hiring for our client a well-established food manufacturing business based onsite in Lusk Co. Dublin who are seeking a Raw Material and Supplier Control Technologist to join their Technical and Quality Team.
This Raw Material and Supplier Control Technologist role will take ownership of supplier approval supplier monitoring and raw material compliance to ensure risks relating to food safety quality legality and authenticity are identified managed and communicated effectively. The successful Raw Material and Supplier Control Technologist will play a key role in supplier performance raw material documentation non-conformance management and audit readiness in line with BRC and retailer standards.

The Role
Manage the supplier approval and monitoring programme to mitigate risk to product safety legality authenticity and quality.
Approve new suppliers and raw materials and maintain ongoing monitoring of current suppliers and incoming goods.
Manage and approve changes in supply (including temporary changes) ensuring clear communication to relevant departments.
Review approve and maintain raw material documentation ensuring it is accurate current and audit-ready.
Maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and ensure information is accessible to relevant personnel.
Manage and respond to retailer requests related to raw material reporting.
Handle non-conforming raw materials escalating issues to suppliers and internal departments and supporting resolution.
Ensure supplier non-conformances are closed efficiently and within agreed timelines.
Trend supplier non-conformances and share insights across the business; escalate significant trends to the Technical/Quality Manager.
Conduct supplier site audits for existing suppliers new supplier approval and where performance concerns exist.
Support third-party audits and complete internal audits in line with the audit schedule ensuring closeout and verification.
Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on supplier management QA processes and site performance.
Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure alignment on standards and compliance.
Undertake additional duties as required by the manager.
The Person
Bachelors degree in Food Science or a related discipline.
Working knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety standards particularly BRC and retailer requirements.
Knowledge of Irish food legislation and labelling regulations.
Experience in supplier management and supplier auditing processes.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and analytical skills.
Confident communicator with the ability to influence and work cross-functionally.
Internal and/or external auditing experience is preferred.
Proactive solutions-focused and able to manage multiple priorities in a live manufacturing environment.
