This role is for a Senior Software Engineer in India who will play a crucial role on the Payments OS and Apps team within the GoDaddy Commerce business unit. The Payments OS Team builds Android-based Smart Point of Sale (POS) Terminals and iOS & Android Mobile apps enabling secure fast payment solutions for various payment instruments while also building custom payments experiences for our banking partners and merchants. This engineer will own the backend microservices for the two mobile apps and the Smart Terminals apps.

This product group is one of the key strategic pillars of GoDaddy with an important contribution to the companys revenue customer growth and innovation. The right individual will be self-driven positive and able to amplify the talents of others. What youll get to do...

• Contribute to mobile and smart terminal application backend services to deliver compelling user experiences learning platform nuances and provide mentorship to other developers on handling those differences
• Architect develop and maintain highly available scalable and secure web platforms and solutions built with NodeJS Go programming language and complementary tools. Write clean efficient and maintainable code using established protocols and coding standards.
• Participate in DevOps release and on-call activities in support of your code collaborate on high-impact passionate Scrum teams and build automation for application changes and deployment for faster time to market
• Embrace agile methodologies to continuously release and deploy iterations of applications and services interacting with various stakeholders to define robust architectural solutions with attention to maintainability observability extensibility scalability and API design
• Coach and mentor your team provide technical training and promote best practices across development workflows

Your experience should include...

• 4 years of experience in developing and deploying production-grade software with 2 recent years using
• Expertise in working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or equivalent cloud platform with a proven track record in building highly performant scalable reliable and secure APIs
• Expertise in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and development based on ongoing testing and improvement
• Experience in leading projects and guiding a team of developers with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with Test-Driven Development and observability instrumentation

You might also have...

• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture
• Experience with Typescript Golang and other modern programming languages
• Experience with building tools/frameworks/automation for quality delivery
• Experience with DevOps practices
