Data Manager, Primary Research Operations

About this role:

The Primary Research Operations Team (PRO) is seeking a Data Manager to oversee end-to-end primary research projects supporting both branded and non-branded research notes across our global technology and business practices. As a Data Manager you will manage projects and data for primary research surveys focusing on vendor and stakeholder coordination data processing and collaborating with project partners to analyze and deliver project data according to business needs.

What youll do:

• Understand project objectives and provide input on survey design and questionnaire development.

• Manage vendors: own field schedules monitor and communicate deadlines perform operational peer reviews of survey design check and edit programmed questionnaires monitor fieldwork progress specify deliverable requirements and milestones and conduct final reviews of member deliverables.

• Clean check and code all project data prior to tabulating results ensuring adherence to Gartner data quality standards; produce tabulated results and PowerPoint reports.

• Deliver all required project results within agreed timeframes including:

  • Tabulated data tables in Excel

  • PowerPoint slide decks

  • Special tabulation or cross-tabulation requests which may involve creating new calculated variables

  • Self-serve dashboards using tools such as Power BI

• Explore and implement new tools and features to improve the quality and efficiency of deliverables.

• Automate and streamline projects and processes using various tools and techniques.

What you will need:

• 35 years of market research industry experience working with data applications such as SPSS Q SAS etc.

• Solid grasp of data and statistical techniques with an analytical mindset and ability to learn new tools quickly.

• Strong understanding and proficiency in data tables graphs and charting techniques.

• Excellent project management stakeholder management attention to detail problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with survey programming and data reporting tools such as Qualtrics Decipher ConfirmIT etc.

• Experience with business analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI Tableau etc. is a plus.

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R is an added advantage.
