In a safe efficient and professional manner the HVAC Technician will perform preventative corrective and predictive maintenance troubleshoot and service commercial and industrial HVAC systems. Experience should include maintenance of ACUs AHUs heat pumps VAVs DDCs and ventilation systems. HVAC Technician II will perform tests rounds and analysis of data to assure the equipment is functioning properly. Experience Maintaining chillers boilers and kitchen equipment is a plus. Other duties include but not limited to evaluating systems and providing recommendations maintaining a clean working environment and other various duties as assigned by the Facility Maintenance Manager while adhering to all safety and health standards. Must be able to work in a high paced team environment and possess good oral and written communication skills.
Perform efficient maintenance installation troubleshooting and repair of HVACR systems according to established standards. Operate and monitor equipment BMS refrigerant systems recovery equipment vacuum pumps charging tools and service gauges. Follow best practices for brazing lubrication and system operation.
Analyze and determine root causes of HVACR system issues. Notify appropriate parties promptly take corrective action and document problems resolutions and recommended future work. Complete service reports only after client satisfaction.
Maintain accurate logs and records including equipment operation lubrication filters belts spare parts air pressure differentials refrigerants and chemical treatments. Keep tools vehicles and work areas clean organized and fully stocked. Track and schedule vehicle and equipment maintenance.
Assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs. Work with CMMS planners/schedulers to optimize preventive maintenance programs. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Follow all safety practices and use required PPE. Know locations of emergency equipment and safely handle tools instruments and hazardous materials. Complete job hazard analyses before work.
Attend OEM training and assigned seminars. Submit timesheets and paperwork accurately and on time. Communicate effectively to identify needs. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
Business Experience
HVAC experience working on industrial/commercial type HVAC equipment/systems as the scope requires.
Licenses/Certifications
Must possess a valid drivers license.
Must possess an EPA Universal Refrigeration License.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Hours of work are solely defined and governed by business volume and contract schedules.
