Overview:

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton VA is currently seeking a full-time General Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This position primarily works a day (1st) shift with rotating evenings and weekends.

Hours

Promary Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm along with rotating evenings and weekends
Evening Rotation: 3pm - 11:30pm
Weekend Rotation: 7am - 3:30pm
Pleaes Note: Weather events and emergencies may impact schedule

Overview

The General Maintenance Mechanic will perform general maintenance as directed and as necessary on all aspects of building structure and systems to include floors walls ceilings lighting HVAC transportation systems mechanical electrical plumbing and other items.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent(Required)

Certification/Licensure

Valid Drivers License with an acceptable driving record (Required)
Refrigerant Recovery certification (Type I Type II or Universal) (Preferred not required)

Experience

Minimum of one (1) year of facility maintenance or skilled trades experience (Required)
Experience in drywall painting or other trades is a plus (Preferred not required)
