Industry/ Organization Type: Civil Engineer Contractor
Position Title: QS cum Drafter
Working Location: Tuas
Working Hours: 5-days (Mon-Fri: 8.30am-6pm)
Salary Package: Basic up to $4000 Bonus
Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Familiar with standard contracts and tender documents.
Join site visits with the Project Manager and/or management team.
Prepare tender submissions or cost estimates based on instructions given.
Work with clients on Bills of Quantities and cost submissions.
Source materials and liaise with suppliers and vendors to request and review quotations.
Review market unit rates regularly to keep material pricing updated.
Coordinate with suppliers/sub-contractors on products/services and follow up on Bills of Quantities matters.
Ensure contract and purchasing activities follow workplace safety and relevant construction requirements.
Prepare structural shop drawings and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
Track daily/weekly work progress and report updates to the Project Manager.
Handle progress claims variation orders and final accounts.
Perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager to support project needs.

Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Civil & Structural Engineering.
Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.
Good communication skills and able to work well with different stakeholders.
Organised detail-oriented and demonstrates a positive work attitude.
