TeHerenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Senior HR Applications Specialist to join the HR Applications team on a permanent full-time basis.
Key responsibilities:
- Play a key role in transforming how we deliver HR services across one of New Zealands leading universities.
- Manage and optimise HR and Payroll applications ensuring security and reliability.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting technical advice and testing for system upgrades.
- Act as a subject matter expert influencing projects and strategic initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvements that make a real difference.

Youre a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for making systems work smarter. You bring deep experience in HR and Payroll applications and enjoy collaborating with others to deliver innovative solutions. Youre proactive detail-oriented and ready to lead improvements that make a real impact.
Key requirements:
- Several years experience in HR/Payroll systems within large complex organisations.
- Strong knowledge of HR/Payroll systems (Ascender and Oracle preferred).
- Experience with cloud environments.
- Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate effectively.
