Job Summary
The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Companys only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine with over 800 employees that support the mine.
OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified experienced and reliable Miner - Level 2 who will manage underground mining operations and deliver mine design and physicals to approved standards in line with the life of mine schedule and budget requirements through the application of safe mining system and achievement of strategic plan.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
- Pro-active in hazard reporting
- Immediately report safety environment and productivity issues with equipment and work area to supervisor
- Communicate with supervisor engineers and other equipment operator and personnel in work areas
- Efficient use level 1 and 2 mining equipment
- Operate underground equipment
- Preparation and clean-up of working areas
- Continuous improvement and learning
Qualifications :
Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way
Educational Background:
- At least HS Graduate
- Vocational/Trade Certificate
Work Experience and background:
- At least 2 year experience underground operation
- Accomplishment of pre-requisite competency as per career framework
Specialization/License:
- TESDA NC2 Wheel Loader Operation
- Drivers License (Restriction 1 2 3 8)
