Job Summary
TOPPERS at the Wauwinet is seeking a seasonal Restaurant Manager at our fine dining restaurant for the 2026 season to manage of all aspects and functions of the food and beverage outlets.
This position starts in April and runs through October.
Responsibilities:
- Establish par levels for supplies and equipment
- Meet with the Chef to review daily specials and 86d items
- Review sales for previous day; resolve discrepancies with Accounting. Track revenue against budget.
- Ensure that staff report to work as scheduled
- Coordinate breaks for staff
- Assign work and side duties to staff
- Conduct pre-shift meeting with staff and review all information pertinent to the days business
- Review the reservation book pre-assign designated tables and follow up on all special requests.
- Anticipate heavy business times and organize procedures to handle extended waiting lines.
- Run system closing reports and ensure that all servers checks are closed before they sign out
- Ensure all closing duties for staff are completed before staff sign out
- Foster and promote a cooperative working climate maximizing productivity and employee morale
- Be on the floor and available to staff at all times during hours of service
- Complete all paperwork and closing duties in accordance with departmental standards
- Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with on-coming supervisor
Qualifications :
Requirements include previous supervisory or management experience in an fine dining restaurant.
Experience in a Fine Dining restaurant is required
