Pay: $120000 - $140000 Per Year
GENERAL
The Wachusett Regional School District is seeking to hire a Director of Student Support to serve as a member of the Districts Executive Team servicing the districts 13 schools grades PK-12. The WRSD serves approximately 6750 students in the five towns of Holden Paxton Sterling Rutland and Princeton. The director of Student Support has extensive knowledge of the laws that govern Civil Rights PRS Bullying 504 and Title IX.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Serves as the Districts Stability Coordinator coordinating services for students who require supports under the McKinney-Vento Foster Care Migrant Education or Military Families programs; represents the district at BID meetings
- Serves as the districts Title IX Coordinator
- Works in collaboration with the Director of Special Education & Student Services to respond to requests from OCR PRS DCF or other regulatory agencies
- Directly oversees the 504 process for students PreK- 12
- Oversees the districts bullying prevention efforts
- Collaborates with administration and staff to lead the districts efforts to implement effective PreK-12 SEL curriculum
- Provides support and professional development to the districts school counselors
- Keeps abreast of the latest educational research trends and developments to make recommendations to administration and staff as appropriate
- Oversees homebound instruction
- Provides support to building administration around enrollment or residency questions or concerns
- Works collaboratively with the District Administrative team on in-district transfers and oversees that process
- Manages state and federal grants as appropriate
- Oversees Panorama Student Success as well as student SEL and Climate surveys
- Serve as District Administration representation at School Committee meetings and subcommittee meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education & Student Services and/or Superintendent
