Job Summary
We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality atFairmontJasper Park Lodgeasour new Laundry Porter. As a Laundry Porter your care and attention to detail in daily operations will help maintain the high standards of our hotel linens contributing directly to a clean comfortable and memorable guest experience.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to theLaundryManager responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professionalfriendlyand engaging service
- Follow departmental policiesproceduresand service standards
- Pick up soiled linen from the resort
- Deliver JPL linens staff uniforms and town contracts linen at scheduled times
- Assist the Washperson and Laundry Attendants as required
- Adhere to all LQA standards set for the department
- Consistently uphold a professional and well-groomed appearance in accordance with the companys established grooming policy
- Adhere to the hotels vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
- Embrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions
- Foster an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and respected
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Valid Alberta drivers license and clean abstract required
- Previous experience driving large trucks required
- Previous housekeeping or laundry experience required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Comfortable driving trucks
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
Visa Requirements:Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable toassistcandidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
