The Event Manager role focuses on the delivery of quality meeting planning and execution services for a variety of clients as part of an end-to-end management solution. Whilst the role primarily focuses on logistic management for face-to-face and digital events there may also be the need to provide creative support.

What Youll Do :

  • Support Client with Marketing Communications through digital and face to face events by providing services in: client engagement reporting campaign setup and communication point of contact with venues and 3rd parties shipping and logistics onsite support invoicing budgets webinars telemarketing etc.
  • Source Negotiate Contract and Handle all vendors/suppliers for the meeting on the clients behalf and ensure quality services at efficient rates.
  • Create and handle critical path for the event(s) including key dates internally and externally.
  • Create design and handle all aspects of the program including all the face to face and digital elements.
  • Attendee Management and associated aspects (invitations itineraries rooming lists special needs dietary requirements attendee communications etc.)
  • Coordinate or handle the air ticketing team for the event for seamless operations and client-facing engagement (if required).
  • Facilitate all supplier payments including regular reporting on fund movements.
  • Create and handle the initial negotiated working and final budgets throughout the program in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Proactive management of the event and account profitability
  • Full financial reconciliation post-event within defined SLA parameters
  • Meet all deliverables and SLAs both internally and externally
  • Understand and be compliant with all American Express policies.

What Were Looking For:

  • Minimum of 2 years confirmed event management experience.
  • Strong technical capabilities with an open approach to learning new things.
  • Ability to work within budgetary parameters meet critical deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills written oral and interpersonal are critical with the ability and present and engage at a senior stakeholder level.
  • Ability to work with the corporate clients to develop programs including destination selection site inspections negotiations costing and onsite management through final billing.
  • Ability to reestablish and develop business from within existing client streams.
